The Scottish Highlands
From the outset, LOAM worked closely with Muc-Off to pinpoint the best locations to highlight the washer’s portability and real-world use. We lined up a mix of terrain — flowing singletrack, steep technical descents, and scenic gravel routes — to tell the full story of the product in action.
To keep things running smoothly, we built a detailed schedule factoring in travel times, weather conditions, and backup locations. That planning paid off when the weather threw us some challenges, allowing us to change things up and stay on track.
The shoot kicked off with the team arriving and transferring to the LOAM office to prep vehicles and gear. The first location provided fast, flowing pump track action to start the story strong. From there, we moved to a rocky and technical ride that set the stage for the hero moment: cleaning the bike on a high plateau using the Portable Pressure Washer. After capturing this dramatic shot, we transitioned to a scenic area where we filmed gravel riding through waterfalls, forested double tracks, and picturesque bridges before wrapping up the day at a well-earned rest stop.
Day two started with a high-energy MTB ride featuring big mountain views and fast, technical descents. The team then captured van shots overlooking dramatic landscapes to enhance the adventure narrative. The journey continued to a coastal bay, where both gravel and MTB sequences were filmed against sweeping ocean views. Later, we headed to a flowing descent that highlighted the versatility of both the riders and the equipment. The shoot wrapped with a welcome pint at a local pub, followed by a final team dinner to celebrate the project’s success.
Scottish weather is unpredictable, but we made it work. With pre-planned back-up locations and an experienced team on the ground, we adapted on the fly, making sure every moment counted and capturing shots that reflected the raw energy of the ride.
